Re: supercharger
If you want sound at idle - Vortech or Paxton or Procharger
If you want sound while in boost - Saleen or Whipple
If you want stealth - Kenne Bell
I've had centrifugal SC's in the past, and I won't purchase another. You have to be spinning 3500+ to get into any boost, and the max boost doesn't come in until the top of your RPM's, right when you're ready to shift.
This KB is my first positive-displacement SC, and twin-screw is the only way I'll go with a SC again.
The next time I have to invest in unnatural aspiration, it'll be turbo, or twin-screw.
In order to get a proper kit to support and make 450+ RWHP safely, you're going to have to spend 5K+ to do it right. Sure, you can buy a Vortech kit for less, but you won't get the inter(after?)cooler, so you'll be limited in what you can do. If you want to add it later, and work up to it, that's not a bad way to go though. You just will be limited by the tune (due to the heat) until you get the cooler.
I'd suggest doing it once, get a kit that will be able to support/do whatever you want, has everything you'll ever need already included, and go from there. Otherwise, you're likely to nickle and dime yourself above the price of the Whipple or KB.
Again, I'm a proponent of the positive-displacement blowers, and depending on your end-goals, you can get relatively inexpensive kits ready-to-go that will support around 500 RWHP. Even the Saleen kit will get you there, with everything you'll need. The KB and Whipple are more efficient in doing so, and will support higher HP levels, but if you want to keep it a street car with great power, even the Saleen will get you there.
I guess I've just been turned off the centris, after owning a couple, seeing how they act on the street (don't know it's there unless you're above 4K RPM), it's almost like you've got Nitrous - it's there only at WOT, but it doesn't cost to re-fill the bottle. The positive-displacement SC's are like adding cubes, that's the best way to describe the feel. Big-block power at all RPM levels.

Re: supercharger
Jeremy for me I would love a good twinscrew, BUT I want to keep my Shaker hood. I have see people try to jerry rig the shaker on top of a Kenne Bell, but it sits up to high and looks funny. Saleen is making a Shaker Saleen supercharger, BUT its going to be way too expensive and its not out yet. So Im limited. I have spoken online to a few Procharger guys and they say they say nothing but wonderful things.
We'll see how things play out with me. I am looking to purchase by next summer, but with the wedding its more like the summer after that! sucks but priorities are priorities

There's nothing wrong with centri's - they make awesome power in the upper RPM band. Heck, with a centri, I think it actually feels stronger. I think that's b/c it kicks in all at once and throws you in the back of the seat above 4K.
That's one thing the turbo/centri has over the posi-SC's - the ability to use the upper-intake gear that you want (IE: Shaker). I can't imagine how convoluted that Saleen 'shaker' system is going to be trying to use the Saleen blower. It's going to have to bend like crazy to get it to mate up right, and any gains are likely to be lost due to the bends required.
I've never had a Procharger. I've had a couple Vortechs. I like the Procharger's means of IC MUCH better than Vortech, though. I've never been a big fan of Vortech's aftercooler - generally because of the placement. It's always been under-hood, to the left of the engine, right in the way of everything else, and getting heat-soaked by everything underhood. At least ATI's stuff was always IC'd by a front-mount air/air that actually gets some cool air to cool the intake charge.

i will need to do the gauges this weekend, i need a fuel rail adapter for the fuel pressure gauge- the one from my nitrous kit is messed up- i cant get the nitrous piece off of it even after heating it up
