Re: supercharger
It seems like it's always something simple. Doc, still gotta give it to you, that was a big undertaking to install the SC by yourself. Good job.

osudoc21 wrote:ok, i have been busy and out of pocket for awhile. one of the hoses blew off under the fender, so you couldnt see it or feel it to be loose, so they didnt find it until they took the bumper back off. so basically my mechanic (me) sucks but that is neither here nor there!
bottom line- i pick the car up this afternoon!
Great news!!! and just in time for the track!!! We better see that thing when you get a chance!!

Re: supercharger
Wow! Those are great problems to have. How much did you detune? I figure 450-475 with a safe tune? Can't wait to see the finished product.

Re: supercharger
Yup that 14 second Monster Cobra you used to have was a beast as well. So whats your fastest time to date in a mustang Justin? I dont believe youve even seen the 13s. hehe Finally in a 3V you achieve that mark...couldnt do it in your 4V...Or was it the driver?

Re: supercharger
he didnt dyno it after the last run, just pulled some timing etc to tone it down just a little, we need to get out to the track in sept and give it a run

Re: supercharger
cobra 281rwhp 300rwtq. Shifting at 5,000 rpm when redline is 7,000 and a 2.4 60ft. Do the math. Driver error

You and brent never made a good pass. You both missed gears. brent missed third and you missed a gear also. Im the only one that made a clean run but i was the error.

Re: supercharger
The 60ft and 1/8 mile timeslip tells all. I had the best run of the night going until I missed 4th. Dont need to finish the race to know the result. I can tell off the other 60 and 1/8. It would have been AT MOST a 13.9..most likely a 14.1

Re: supercharger
Ugh, not sure what all that noise was.....sounds like an orange-car problem :P
So how'd Doc do (did he run?) Having to dial-down the power on a Procharger always seemed strange to me (no offense- Doc). It's, just, the KB guys researched this crap ad-nasieum, so if you were having to dial-back the power, then Procharger was, in my opinion, sending out kits with too much boost in the first place.
KB did 8#'s for a reason. It is/was what's daily-drivable. I think it's 15 HP/#boost, so 12 would be another 60RWHP. That puts it to the verified breaking-point.
I hope all is well, and would suggest a MAX of 12#'s if you want to have a good life for the shortblock.

Re: supercharger
some of it is the other things that i have done to the car ie delete plates, cams, headers, throttle body etc. i got quite a bit out of those mods with the procharger. without those things then you would be looking at 450-480 to the wheels, my boost was right below 10
