Re: New Mods Update #2
The only bad part was taking the bolts off fender and hood, it takes the paint off them, nothing a little touch up paint can't fix though.

Re: New Mods Update #2
Yeah, I too lost a little paint off the bolt edges when I put mine on too. I'll just touch em up before the next show.

I like those coil covers but damn you can't hardly see them when you get them installed. Stupid 5.4's! :)

I pimped my stock ones out. The driver side one is nearly completely covered by the CAI. The passenger one you can see pretty well.

Yep the 5.4 just isn't making the cut. We better step up to the 5.8 soooon. It will be a new design.....2007-2009, 2010-2012 & 2013 - I see a GT500 design change pattern going on. Will be way interesting to see Ford step away from retro and go with something new. Can't wait. :)

Did you get your 3.73 ring and pinion set installed yet? Please let me know how it goes. Ford racing also sells the whole axle assembly with 3.73 ratio...the one that comes standard on 2012 Boss 302 and new Shelby.

Haven't installed yet. Trying to find my current gremlin first. They'll be going in as soon as I figure out my current problem.

The Shelby tanks arrived today. I was hesitant to buy this set at first because it's so damn expensive, but having seen them up close now I'm glad...no regrets. They have a high quality finish to them. This will give my engine compartment more of that clean symmetrical look and get rid of some more plastic. lol

Re: New Mods Update #2
My Shelby Short throw shifter order just got cancelled. FYI they told me the part has been discontinued. Looks like I just might get the MGW after all.

I've been considering the mgw myself so maybe you can be the test mule and let me know if it's the tits or not

Re: New Mods Update #2
Will do, but I'm still thinking about searching for the Shelby one...seems like it will be a more rare and unique part to own. Good thing I can use my new Shelby knob on the MGW. They give you a choice between a couple different thread sizes.

Tyler (Black 04 GT) has the MGW for his, and would never recommend anything else. It's one of those pieces I've been looking to get for a while, but MGW is also a piece that cannot be dealt outside of them without special approval. Sucks...
Re: New Mods Update #2
So I just called the Shelby store regarding the cancellation of my now discontinued short throw shifter. The rep. said that Shelby is working a newly better designed shifter for our beloved GT500s. My next question was so who's manufacturing these for you. I was then told he couldn't disclose that information. So I decided to throw out some names like MGW and immediately he said it's definitely not them. Then I asked if it was Scott Drake and he got quiet... LMAO.

The guy sounded like a moron and who knows if what he said was even the truth. The new replacement shifter is allegedly in development still. I agree the stock shifter isn't bad by any means, but that Shelby American shifter looked pretty damn nice. Scott drake already has his own version of GT500 shifter...dunno anything about it.
