I rather the kiddo driving around in a safe (as safe as a fox body can be) than one the booms and wakes up the neighborhood.
Am I showing my age? ;)
IMO and others might think different and its absolutely Davids call...BUT I think ANY work on the car is progress at this point...when NO ONE has been working on it for the past month. So yeah lets go your route and not do ANYTHING....and wait on the radio

Once again you missed the point and are stateing in accurate quotes. There's plenty of stuff to do. Body prep, brakes, etc. I never said wait until the radio. WTF?

Re: INTERIOR
Got a lot done today! Everyone did a great job! Jerry and David got stereo in and it's about 75% complete. The Wall twins arms are no doubt ready to fall off after all the sanding they did.
She's ready for the molding to come off and final sand. Then she goes to paint.

Sounds like what Tammy Faye Bakker's assistants would say right before she went on TV in the 80s...
We did accomplish a lot yesterday! Ready for the final push to completion!

Re: INTERIOR
I am excited to get everything buttoned up and installed. The speakers really look great in the doors!! I noticed the deck has a USB cord on it. David, does he have an iPod or anything? We should get it filled up with some music and have it in there as well.

Re: INTERIOR
I had an idea for the install kit - that open space in the new dash looks like a double-din size; they make double-din size installation kits for single-din radios (which is the size we're working with) that would probably work. Such a kit would come with a pocket to fill the rest of the space; or we could install a single-din CD/DVD player underneath the head unit.

Re: INTERIOR
Whilst the car is at paint we need to start thinking about how to proceed with the interior as we will be on a very short time frame most likely to finish. Is there anything that needs to be addressed with the stereo to get ready before the car comes back from paint?

Re: INTERIOR
David M. - I'm confused...tried looking up an install kit for the car; applications listed go from 1993 to 2001. http://www.myinstallkit.com/ford.htm . Why would they skip the intervening years?

Could be that there all the same from 87-93 so they just put 93 on there. I'll check it out. If they have one do we need to get it?

Re: INTERIOR
Yeah, that should work. I'll buy it (reimburse you for it) if you'll order it - I've got a really busy few days coming up, but we need to get that install kit on the way here.
