Post by STLHRSE 11/9/2010, 1:57 pm

Hi all, I was cruising through my neighborhood on Sunday in my 02GT, and happened to see a bran spankin new GT500 sitting in a church parking lot, and this guy was cleaning it. So I stopped and talked to Jarrod, and he told me about this site. Its nice to know there's a forum specific to Tulsa Mustangs. I've had about ten fox bodies starting with an 82' Capri, and this 02 is the first Mustang I bought new, so I've been hangin on to it. I do all of the work myself, and just got finished deleting the ABS, and replacing an AJE tubular K member and arms with UPR chrome moly K and arms, along with coil overs and stuff. Look forward to meeting all of you.

Hey Doug, Glad you found the site! You have one nice ride. These guys are going to want to see pics asap. Looks like you have had an array of fords over the years, I believe you will find the same around here. There are a few events coming up soon, show check out the events/calender section for details.

Oh and did I mention we need to see pics of the car?

Glad you're here and enjoy your stay

Ha ha. I'll have to post some up tonight when I get home. I don't really have any on my work pc. BTW, I love the "electric" look of the color on your new car.

Must have pictures on hand...at all times hammer

As for the compliment...thank you very much, car does seem to grab the attention of most. I am hoping no Bad attention comes my way and a key gets ran down the side... thud

I also saw this car, its freaking sweet looking... was that a steeda spoiler?

Anyways, welcome to the site, glad to have some more SN95 around!!!

Yeah that's what Jarrod tried to tell me the other day, when I commented how much I liked his car. He says " these can fit car seats" Uh yeah, but I have three kids. And I've been down that road. I bought my car new when my son, who was with me the other day, was about 9 months old. Don't want to go there again........................... beatingdead

Let's see
stock 2V except,
Aftermarket cams (nitrous grind)
Dragon Plenum & TB
Longtubes,
SCT Pro Racer tuning package
100 HP Nitrous but adjustable to 300 HP (not using right now because nitrous line got a crack in it. Need to by new line.)
stock, but TSB upgraded tranny
Centerforce dual friction clutch
fully prepped rear with 4.30 gears and 35 spline Mark Williams axles
28" rear tire.
UPR chrome moly K, arms and coil overs
Strange adjust able struts in front and shocks out back
Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates
weight reduction to 3050 lbs. without me in it.
lots of little things

How's that??

BTW, Thanks for all of the compliments. I've done all of the work myself. After I win the lottery, I plan to build a new motor, and put twins on it, maybe before my 7 month old has his own kids in college. hammer

Doug you have a lot of nice work done to that car. Your car weighs nothing! Hell the C6 corvettes are light and they weigh around 3200lbs.

Any track times?

Thanks. originally, when I did the K member, arms, which were mild steel then) and coil overs along with long tubes. I think I dropped about 120 lbs. I think, if I remember correctly. The new stuff is chrome moly, but I think it was all like 19 lbs. lighter. I'm kind of a weight junky, but I still have AC and all that. I'm not touching that stuff. I took all of that off of my last fox body, and I ended up regretting it. Oh, I also have my battery in a Moroso box in the trunk, and a rear cutoff switch, per NHRA. You could probably still take me though :)
