Pay for track classes or Not? Empty Pay for track classes or Not?

What do you think about these class offerings? I am all for taking the back roads and "practicing" but I would like to get some safe drive time. One thing that has bothered me is that I have never spun out and I want to in a controlled area. Reason being I don’t know what this car can do or what my traction limitations are. Does that make sense?

Pay for track classes or Not? Empty Re: Pay for track classes or Not?

Post by Guest 12/1/2008, 6:51 pm

Makes perfect sense. I was thinking that just the other day when I took an off ramp at entirely too high of a speed and the car stuck. It got me to thinking about where the limit really was but as you said. Not real safe to do in traffic. And $250 for all 3 days isnt really all that bad I dont think. I might be up for doing this as well. I wonder if they would give us a discount if we could get a group of club members to go for this.

Makes perfect sense!! Always wanted to get a professional instruction on how to drive my vehicle properly!! Also they can show you the limits in a safe invironment...and show you how to fefensively control the car in case something should happen.

This looks like a good school any ideas on pricing? It would be a great club type event for those of us that prefer something other than fast and straight.

Keep in mind this is just for Autocross... I'd rather go for a full SCCA track license.

It;s held at Hallett and you use REAL Spec Race Cars. So when I kick Jarrods ass, he'd have no excuses.

having never spun out is a good thing take it from a pro (at spinning out) usually you will not like the results. I tried to quit doing that !!!

seriuosly though i would be interested as well my only experience is on dirt.

Paul,

That looks really interesting and it would be better than going to Kansas. I would be interested in doing that for sure. It also allows you to use your own car so I dig that.

That would also be a cool club picture if we could lined them up like the border picture at the top of your website. Speaking of that picture is that Jarrod running across the image?

lol the image at the top of this web page. Where all the bold moves mustangs are lined up together. I remember seeing that image and thinking what is that kid doing in the picture. Looks like a group pic in the country somewhere.

Ok.. Lets get something official going on this. Can we get someone official to call them and find out if we can get a discount for the club with a set number of guaranteed sign ups? I bet they will do that for us. If we can bring a certain number of people and pay up front I am sure we can knock a bit off the price.
