I seriously doubt that I will be posting any new best times or anything but I am hoping to improve on my 60' time. I have got to learn how to launch on these ET Streets. I think I had it about down on the drag radials but launching and getting better times is proving to be a PITA!

Wish me luck!

Ok y'all, first off, I had a great time tonight. The car worked really well even though it was hot and muggy out. Here's a run down off all my runs:

1st run 1.70 60' ET 7.67 @ 92.21mph's
2nd run 1.70 60' ET 7.75 @ 89.82mph's (hiccup going into 3rd)
3rd run 1.70 60' ET 8.45 @ 85.78mph's (launched HARD but spun most of the 60' and missed 2nd)
4th run (took 2psi out of each tire) 1.66 60' applause ET 7.71 @ 91.04mph's
5th run 1.74 60' ET 7.79 @ 90.67mph's (granny shifting)

All in all the car performed flawlessly. I love this thing. I just need to work on my driving. It seems like this snake likes to be abused Kinky I had the attitude of it's either going to go or break and I didn't care if it did break....and it went on my 4th run, it felt great!!!

After my 2nd run, I changed my launching technique a little. Instead of taking the revs up and holding them, then letting out on the clutch and mashing the gas, I took them up to about 3500 and then as the last light lit, my foot went to the floor and as the RPM's got to about 5000ish I let out the clutch as fast as I could. on the 1.66 60' it did spin a little but that's better than dead hooking and breaking something. I am still pumped!! This is what I looked like after the 4th run ----> yahoo crazy I can't believe it 60'd that well. awesome awesome awesome!!!

Ok I'm done now. Sorry for the long post.

Yeah, the 60' times are coming down. I think there is a little more left in it. Thats what I like about racing...pushing your car to perform and trying to get every last .1 out of it. Stay tuned, I'll be up in Tulsa next weekend, one of my buddy is running his zephyr and another buddy is taking his '89 coupe up there to run in the bracket races and I'll probably run in the street or trophy class or maybe just run Time Only. Hopefully I can get this thing to 60' like that and bring home a good time slip.
