Local Tuners Empty Local Tuners

Post by OWMach1 5/10/2011, 5:54 pm

Ive been shopping around talking to different tuners for the last month or so, Ive talked to Greg Gillam, Kurtis@ Archangel, Bo@ APS and Travis@ Gearheads. All seem like great guys and all seem to know thier crap, Now I just cant decide who to go to, I have a buddy that Uses Archangel he is Very happy and ive talked to plenty that use BO and Travis, but i havent heard alot that have used Greg. I was hoping to see what his customers have to say.

I have a pretty basic setup, its an 03 Mach with a forged shortblock, 97 cobra cams, C&L CAI, Mac longtubes, Mac H pipe and a NX kit, I plan to have 4 tunes My NA tune, 100 Shot tune, 150 Shot tune and 175 Shot tune.

Id really like to use one of the 2 here in the Tulsa area, just because i like to keep my business local and it makes life alot eaier when the time for a retune comes around or if i have any issues my tuner is local.

Also if any of these tuners are members of this forum please dont take offense to this im extremly anal about who i take my stuff to and i like to have as much info on them and thier shop as possible.

Archangel hooked David M up with a tune on his pulley'd GT500....runs very well and I believe he is pretty happy with it.

Kurtis can be a little slow on the customer service end (answering the phone and calling you back) Best way to get him is to show up at the shop. He is always friendly, knows his stuff, and will go out of his way to help you out when needed.

There are also options that are close enough (Texas for example) that might be worth the drive.

Have not heard of Bo or Travis so I cant really comment on them

Yeah Kurtis has been my first choice he has always been very helpful and good to me when i have done business with him.

I still might use Kurtis just because of how cool he has always been.

No doubt....seriously impressed with that new motor.
