Local guy wrecks at 45th
Hey guys I just found out Jerry Bergeron from here in Owasso may have totaled his Roush Trak-Pak. He was on the track in Birmingham, AL for the 45th Anniverary and went airborne and flipped the car. He is not hurt just shaken up his car has race seats and 5 point harness to keep him in. He is a close friend so when he gets back we will have to give him a hard time for sure. I will post pics as soon as I get them.

Re: Local guy wrecks at 45th
He sold the 98 Cobra Stage 3 to another friend in Dallas
He is also in Green Country Classic Mustangs actually a board member so......
Jerry owns a P51a Roush and a 427R Trak-Pak and is the one who went with me out to Hallett the day I had the track to myself.

I believe he traded in the 98 Cobra and the 2007 Blackjack at Grand Prairie Ford for the P51a if I recall right. The cobra went to an fnsweet member I believe. Hope Jerry is ok!!!

Looks bad but fixable I would think. All the wheels look pretty straight, so maybe the body is still pretty straight.

Looks mostly cosmetic and air bags. Wonder what the suspension looks like. He could buy it back from the insurance company and fix her up and have 2 trak paks...hehe just a though

Re: Local guy wrecks at 45th
I hate to see it when a nice mustang gets bent, but happens on the track.....If you can't afford to lose the car (financially or emotionally) don't track it. I'm glad he was not injured and hope that he had a rollbar or cage to go along with the seats and harnesses.
Also, and this is my humble but accurate opinion, if the car gets bent on the track, the insurance company should not cover the loss. I would never try to make a claim if I were in that position. It's just not fair to the other policy holders to drive their rates up because you participated in an activity that likely is excluded from coverage if full disclosure were made. And I have come close to getting caught in other peoples' mistakes, thus my rollbar, seats and harnesses.
Anyway, from looking at the pic's, it appears that that car is VERY fixable. I've restored cars that were ten times worse. If it were me though, I wouldn't worry about replacing the air bags...............
