Re: 2009 Mid America Ford and Shelby meet.
Jarrod and I were talking about this at Lunch. We need to start getting a count of who all we be going out there and joining the club on the events. I would like to try and get in touch with them before hand and get a spot reserved for our group and our cars.

Re: 2009 Mid America Ford and Shelby meet.
Prices and detailed schedule on the website.
Wednesday Night at 5:30 is the kickoff event. They line up all the cars and cruise from the Marriot Southern Hills on 71st and Lewis to the Sonic drive in on Brookside. There is a police escort the whole way from the Hotel to Brookside. They close down Brookside and line it with the cars. Usually wraps up about 7:30-8:00
Thursday and Friday is Racing out at Hallet. Each day they have different races for different experience levels. Everything from beginner to Full out racing. I have never done it but plan on doing it this year. Paul can give more insight on this.
Saturday is Drag racing at Tulsa Raceway Park. Pretty self explanatory here.
Sunday is the final day. They have a Car show with judging and awards ceremony that concludes the show at about 3:00. They usually have a raffle and door prizes. I have always walked away with something. Sometimes they have some really big prizes, I think last year they gave away full sets of tires and suspension kits.
There are also banquet dinners to go to as well. But everything you do cost money and you can get spread pretty thin really quick. If you go down to the hotel on Friday and Saturday nights, you can usually find most of the guys out in the parking lot with a trailer full of beer swapping mustang stories.
All in all it is a very eventful weekend and a lot of fun. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone that owns a mustang.

Yes, if anyone wants their cars done before the show let me know. The weekend before I will be in Vegas, but up until then will be happy to get them cleaned up. But once they are fully detailed they are much easier to wash and keep clean.
I will do mine Saturday night before the show.

Re: 2009 Mid America Ford and Shelby meet.
If I miss any of this this year I will find SOMEONE to murder.....
I was pumped for 6 months before last year. Had big plans. When June rolled around, I got stuck in Africa and made it home 7 pm Sunday. Was I PO'ed?
In a word, yes....
It will not happen again.I will take off Wednesday thru Sunday. If you need any help, let me know.
Oh, and put me on the detail list Jerry!

Re: 2009 Mid America Ford and Shelby meet.
I will be in for just about everything, probably will not race or drag; but will come to watch. Might even be able to make it a family event.
