Re: TUNE AND SPRINGS
Most of us are running the Eibach Pro Kit which lowers the car 1.3'' and 1.4''.
Davids running the Steeda springs and i believe they are 1'' all the way around.
In my opinion the Eibach Pro Kit is the best all around kit...lowers the car just enough to cover the fenderwell gap and work great with the adjustable Tocico D-Spec shocks.
As for the Tune Its split....some are running Bamachips tunes and others Brenspeed tunes "mail order". Both have pretty aggressive tunes and wake the car up. Just make sure you order your tuner and tunes from either Bama or Brenspeed... if you just order from a mustang web site then your probably getting "Canned" SCT tunes.
Now if your looking for a true custom tune Kurtis at Archangel Motorsports here in Tulsa will Dynotune your ride. Hes running a 100% load Dynapack dyno and sells the SCT XCAL tuner with his custom tunes specific for your ride.... He can produce some nice HP numbers AND keep it safe.
Some of the mail order tunes have been known to be a little lean on occasion.
Let us know if you have any more Q's ....we all are always up for helping out a fellow member

Re: TUNE AND SPRINGS
i run the eibach springs as do several others on here. tony has another brand of springs, i think steeda maybe they dont lower quit as much. for the tune i would buy the sct xcal with the tunes of your choice from brenspeed or bamachips. they are both good dealers and have good customer service.
kurtis has a dyno and uses the xcal for his tunes as well.(archangel motorsports) he is here in town.

Re: TUNE AND SPRINGS
chris, when you buy the tuner, buy the package with the air intake with it. a tune and air intake will make a huge difference in your car. the JLT and C&L racer are the 2 favorites with the club members

Re: TUNE AND SPRINGS
I installed new rims and spring with 10 miles on mine. Drove it home and it went up on jacks. I had parts all over. My wife said she never seen a new car that needed so much work... ;)
I had the springs and wheels 3 months before I had the car...

Re: TUNE AND SPRINGS
Paul I bet We can change the springs in 30 minutes. 45 tops. Chris I agree on the CAI kit along with a X-cal SCT tuner. As far as where I run the Brenspeed tunes. I like them because if I buy anything else that requires tune rework it's free as long as I buy the part from them. They have very competitive pricing. I am planning to have a tune by Kurtis at Archangel soon. He is top notch. Check out www.brenspeed.com

Re: TUNE AND SPRINGS
O.k. boys.Greg says those pulleys came from steeda in that box.I called steeda and they showed were he had ordered them.I gave them the pulley measurements and the numbers on the parts. They said they are not steeda pulleys. There's are 5 1/2'' on the crank not 5''.Called granatelli (they look just like there's)on the web site.He said they haven't made that type for several years, and the part numbers i gave him off the parts weren't in his book.I think steeda uses different venders and they may have put in the wrong set.Not knowing is killing me.If i don't here from granatelli soon i am going to drive it and hope it all works out.

Re: TUNE AND SPRINGS
Hey Chris...as others have stated...dont worry about doing the springs yourself...or paying to have them done.... we as a club have "tech days" which give us an excuse to drink beer and work on our cars haha...... Just let us know when they come in...we will knock out your springs and Docs Valve covers in record time!
As for the tuner I would get either the JLTII CAI and XCAL or the C&L Racer with the XCAL from either www.bamachips.com or www.brenspeed.com Also remember Kurtis at Archangel has tuners and CAI kits. Just let us know when your ready...we'll help you get your car up to snub

Havent really heard much about the Air Raid....most of the mustang community have been having great gains with the JLTII and C&L Racer intake.
Its up to you...if you can get the AIR RAID at a great price..then it might be worth it....I went the safer route ...used a CAI that has proven results...who knows you might get great results with the Air Raid...I just dont know much about it.

Here is a pic of Davids C&L RACER INTAKE
And here is a pic of the JLT II...you can choose the color you want...Since your car is black just leave it as is...black is the default color

Re: TUNE AND SPRINGS
Thus far I believe the Racer has proven to be the "fastest". LOL I would try to figure out if 1. do you plan to race your car 2. do you plan to show your car 3. do you plan to do both 4. do you plan on supercharging or adding nitrous later. These questions may help you to pick the "right" combo for your application. Again I am a bit bias to the C&L Racer because thats what I have and it works great for me. The JLT is a good buy and looks nice as well. You really can't go wrong with either. The only thing I would look into with the AIRAID is the diameter of the mass air housing. Looks to be moulded into the tube in the picture. The JLT and the C&L are seperate from the tube the C&L is the largest I believe by a few mm.
