What springs should I buy?
It's time to lower my 2005 GT Coupe. I currently have 17"s on the car. However, how much should I lower it by, and what springs should I get? I looked at H&R, and they seem to be the winner as of current. Since I know nothing, I thought I would ask. Thanks!

The Eibach Pro Kit is one of the if not the most popular springs on the market.
It comes down to how much do you want to lower the car? My choice in order 1)Eibach Pro Kit 2)Steeda
Steeda lowers the car 1'' all the way around $200-$235
Roush lowers your vehicle 1" in the front, 1.25" in the rear. $250-$275 (overpriced eibach springs with Roush name)
Eibach Pro kit Lowers car 1.3" (front) and 1.4" (rear). $175-$200
Most parts around are very similar if not the same products with different names on them. Roush parts are mixed with Steeda and are mixed with Eibach. Your basically paying for a name. If your going for a theme..I say get what you like...if your going for quality and price...shop around.

The Eibach's are the ones I would choose. Good ride quality and good looks. Don't know if the fat Roush chick rides that good!

Re: What springs should I buy?
lol. I will buy them, and then we can compare. Your probably right on the eibachs, but I like to keep the roush image. (although im not a roush, so is that gay?) I should just go with the eibachs.

haha nice one Doc
Joshua... my mustang started out as an 07 GT. It now has the Complete Roush body kit, Roush Off-Road exhaust (which are Borla Stingers to be technical), Roush badging (including side emblems and rear Stage 2 emblem), Roush inside door sill plates, and much more. Hell even Jack Roush himself has signed the Dash and under the hood.
The exterior is where I stopped with the Roush theme... All of the suspension parts have been from different vendors. Roush stuff was just too expensive and didnt give me the adjustability I wanted. So I went with CHE Lower Control arms, CHE relocation Brackets, Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs, and the Steeda front Sway bar delete. Went with Rotorpros Cross Drilled and slotted Rotors with Hawk HPS brake pads and decided on the Chrome FR500 Deep dish all the way around. I looked into the Roush shifter..but again wasnt as good as the Hurst or others...I decided on the Hurst Comp short shifter. (my other mods are in my sig)
Future plans have me purchasing the BMR Front and Rear sway bars, BMR Adjustable Pan Hard bar with Brace and going with some Tocico D-Spec Shocks.
Dont get me wrong Roush makes some great parts....but MOST of their suspension and performance parts are just rebranded parts from other manufactureres. Roush buys the parts...puts there name on it and sells them for a premium price. Id rather get more performance at a cheaper price. But yes my car looks exactly like a Roush mustang....so to answer your question...NO its not Gay to want to go with a theme...just be smart about it. No one will every know they are ROUSH lowering springs...how can they? I would save your money and purchase some lowering springs that arent as expensive. Eibach for instance just my 2 cents

Re: What springs should I buy?
Yeah your definately right grabber. I think the outside and inside just go with roush but under the hood and the rest I will just go with random well researched stuff.

Re: What springs should I buy?
Not a bad idea...the stuff you cant see should be quality and price. The stuff you can see....go with with your theme
