I"m debating over C&R and that AFCO one. Found a nice install vid on AFCO one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3bDSQAsrEI
Wonder if basically same setup with C&R? Jarrod...if you have time could you compare the installation...how did it go for you?

Re: My Revan Racing/Shelby Dual Pass/Dual Fan Heat Exchanger arrives Tuesday!
AFCO is basically a reverse engineered C&R. Both are great units....Install is going to be essentially the same. C&R is running a better core than the AFCO, which for me separates itself.
I went C&R due to the tested results, Afco has no testing. Van at Revan Racing is the one who helped design it using C&R's Cores (C&R makes the radiators found on Nascar's)
I am pretty impressed with the results thus far.

By the time I get a pulley/tune/plugs, heat exchanger + tank, our cars will be quite similar! I guess only major diff will be my aluminum block (nanny nanny boo boo!) :-)
By the way, I bet you're loving that H.E. in this weather!!! It's like hell out there.

Dont mind being similar. I think you will be pleased with this setup. I must warn you though, you will be looking at new rear tires sooner than expected

You know, if the economy collapses and it turns into "mad max" out there, we will all be sitting pretty! Just slap on some side armor and mount a few guns...and we will be BAD ASS.

That or sell the motor for scrap aluminum and you'll be sitting pretty well too ;-)
Re: My Revan Racing/Shelby Dual Pass/Dual Fan Heat Exchanger arrives Tuesday!
Just ordered my C&R heat exchanger and 170 thermostat !!!
After I do that, I will order a Pulley/Idler/John Lund Tune/ Tuner/ Plugs package (probably 6-8 weeks out).

Might also think about a larger Intercooler tank. I went with Roush Racing. Its 3x larger than stock.

Just ordered my Roush intercooler tank. Cheapest place by far...most other places are 85-100 including shipping. This was 69 dude!
Anyone also upgrade to larger radiator coolant tank?

Not a bad price. Yes the stuff for ours runs little cooler that the pre 2011's. I'd probably just get some from the dealer. But let me do some research real quick.
BTW.... Got a nice line moving in from Kansas.

Yeah decent line for sure. Just wrote a flimsy MD earlier tonight :-)
I guess buy it from Ford? can't find it too much online. I bet 1 gallon of it will last me quite a while.
What do you do for oil? I"ll eventually have to do that as well...and filter?

Statewide MCS! :)
Ya been looking. Not much. Jarrod did his. Yo... Smurf... what did you use?
Our oil is hard to find too. I'm a big royal purple fan, but they don't make our 5w 50 weight. Mine is due to be changed. Prob use Mobile one this weekend and then order Redline.

Oil Weights
What do you think of this:
http://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2329354
Seems like a lot of people are having better "results" with 10-30 or 10-40 full synthetic.

Re: My Revan Racing/Shelby Dual Pass/Dual Fan Heat Exchanger arrives Tuesday!
Ya... Bob has been a round a while. I read some of these a couple weeks back. I would lighten up the weight a bit, but I scare if I were to grenade my engine, they probably wouldn't cover it under warranty. Not sure how deep they go on the testing, but it would take much for them to test the oil and find out it wasn't 5w 50.
As a side note... these guys really need to get out more. Wow. They like their motor oil. :)

Those storms are weakening over Osage county. I think the atmosphere must be pretty worked over. Looks like the same thing in the OKC area.

I'm gonna check into AMSOIL. Not sure what weight...but I like the idea of 25000 mile oil changes!

Re: My Revan Racing/Shelby Dual Pass/Dual Fan Heat Exchanger arrives Tuesday!
Amsoil is #1 but is expensive. I am using the stock motorcraft and getting the car changed at the dealership for the first 15k miles, just in case something should happen they have a record. I am changing the oil every 3,500 miles or so as I know the ford stuff shears pretty quick.
Redline 5w-50 seems to be doing VERY well and what I will most likely change to.
As for the Intercooler tank....fits great! And the orange coolant you can get at the dealership. Dealership off of the BA and Elm has it.

I could be wrong, going off of memory, but I think I had to buy 2 gallons of the coolant for the H/E install

Hey Jarrod thanks. Van emailed me some PDF files, wiring diagram, install instructions...he said that with the new models though, the Front bumper comes off a bit differently. Did you find this to be the case...does it "pull" out?
my email is rjewell at sbcglobal net
I found those youtube vids showing an install.
ALSO...did you have your car on a lift...or just ramps or jacks?
Did you drain and reuse what was in the old one?

Yup thats what I just sent you. Never hurts to double up on the PDF files :)
You have to pull outward on the side of the bumper and it comes off. This thread helped me out quite a bit
http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/52119-stage-zero-cr-heat-exchanger-install-on-2010/
Lastly had the car on jack stands and install was not bad, especially having a great BMMC crew helping me.
