Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
Damn, could almost get these, paint them, and then put them on so i dont have to deal with as much downtime...
Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)

Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
Very true... you have the lower bracket too? or just the calipers themselves?
Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
if my research is correct these will fit on a 95 right? And if so do you still have them? Would be a nice upgrade.

Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
im not sure what bracket you mean. i unbolted them from the spindle and bolted the cobra brakes on my car.
i think they would fit a 95 but i dont know for sure.

Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
Should fit the 95 GT. Lee I believe was asking about the caliper brackets but I'm not sure if the spindle is the same to even mount the bracket to on the V6 cars? My guess is no. Probably would need to source a set from a salvage car that was a V8

Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
I did some research on it last night and it appears that it is almost a direct swap over. Also if what I was reading was correct the 99-04 v6 and GT have the same brake system so lee shouldnt have problems putting it on his v6.

Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
Yea the v6 and gt are both dual piston pbr pistons. Just debating if i want a second set. Found a set of cobras that are complete minus the rotors, trying to work a deal on those.
Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
The cobra calipers are also made by PBR. While both are dual piston, the difference is piston size and rotor size....
Stock GT- Smaller pistons and 11inch rotors
Cobra- Larger pistons and 13 inch rotor.
Cobra calipers perform better.

Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
Hmm, maybe i could get them, paint and install, then sell you my old ones. Still work great...
Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
with the cobra brakes lee you will probably have to upgrade your master cylinder. i know the 94-95 mustangs do but im not sure about the v6's but i dont think they have a hydroboost master cylinder so you will have to change that out

Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
true.... Palmer doesn't have rotors, and not willing to go too far below the $250 asking price, so think I'll stick with the PBR brakes... now to decide if I want a second set to paint or not...
Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
Go for it Lee, I had some unexpected expenses come up (read speeding ticket) and cant afford it anymore anyways.

Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
Yeah, the whole thing was really ridiculous. I got a $150 ticket and had my special parking permit for the good parking lot close to the dorms revoked. All for going 30 mph in what the officer claimed was a 15mph zone but its not marked lol. I'm still royally pissed about the whole thing.

"We'va already raised tuition four times this year, how else can we get money out of these kids and their parents? I know! Let's make up unwritten speed limits and then fine them going going over them! Yes, that will do..."
Re: 99-04 dual piston pbr calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (fronts only)
oh yeah, i plan to fight it as much as possible, considering that i graduate in april i dont think changing schools would really be a good option. Just sayin
