Leonard 95 wrote:I would get a h pipe or prochamber, it will probably help keep the raspy noise down some.
an h-pipe will definitely give you a more mellow tone. i went with an x-pipe cause i wanted it louder than shit...

Re: looking for an exhaust system
There is not one. Your check engine light come one because the computer is looking at your O2 Sensors and knows something is wrong. You need a tune that can program the computer and readjust so the CEL does not come on again for that reason.

Re: looking for an exhaust system
Got the exhaust on today :)
I got to hear my car with just up to the down pipe
all i can say is "omfg" on the start up scared the crap out of me, than he revved it and i couldnt barely tell if it was being revved or not, what a freakin beast
Bf was putting the H pipe on for me while i was at work
"i woulda done it myself if i wasnt busy all the time"
so i had to drive the rx7 today, and the bf brought my car up to my work after it was finished....man i loved how it sounded, it was perfect...maybe a lil to much popping an such but i think that will go away once it gets settled in.
My car starts up quicker...i like i like
right now im having a hard time getting the bf to bring my car back too me but he's cleaning it so that cancels out my unhappyness :) yeeaaah

Re: looking for an exhaust system
That popping might not go away. If you ever get really tired of it..I have a solution. it will quiet the car down a bit...but makes the sound very smooth.

No....there are some race mufflers you can weld into your exhaust just after the H pipe and before the axle. They are basically resonators....smooths the sound out greatly!
I used 16'' mufflers...if I had it to do all over again I would have gone smaller....say a 12''

Re: looking for an exhaust system
Its exactly like this one....only in a 12''. The link below if for the 18'' that i have. It quited the car down WAYYY too much...but smoothed the sound out. I would try the shorter version of the one in the link
