Re: looking for an exhaust system
We'll figure somthing out amanda. Its really easy to do the mufflers. As soon as we get some warm weather i'm sure we can meet up and get them installed real quick.

Re: looking for an exhaust system
i have to say it sounded pretty awesome w/o mufflers
i told dad i want to put on an o/r x pype...the minute i said it has no catylitic converters he was like..."ooh noo you dont wanna do that it'll void the warranty and if emissions ever come back you'll fail it." everythings run by a computer an if enough air isnt gettin through the sensor it'll put more air back

haha....no it doesnt void your warranty. The rule is...whatever you change on your car...if it fails it is not covered.
For example if you change your rearend gears in your car...and the rearend starts to whine...Ford wont cover it and void the warranty on that paticular part on your car. So lets say you have an off-road x pipe on your car and your windshield wipers stop working.....The X pipe has nothing to do with your wipers so ford should warranty the issue. Does that make sense? Ford has to prove that what you did to your car...caused the warranty issue to void it.
Although some Ford dealerships are stricter than others..... Find a good one and stick with it. Hurley has always been great with my car.
As for the Inspection...I dont see Oklahoma implamenting an inspection again anytime soon. If your worried about it...keep your stock H pipe just in case....change it over to stock...get the car inspected then slap on the Off Road again :)
And as for the sensor....Im not understanding the "put air back" part? All your rear O2 sensors do is monitor the unburned fuel in the catalytic converters if Im correct....when you change over to an off road...you will get a CHECK ENGINE light because the computer senses the catalytic converters arent doing their job....(because you removed them hehe). Doesnt hurt the car...just throws a check engine light and code. When you get a tune....you will tell your tuner that you have an Off-road x or h and he will actually turn OFF your rear O2s...your car just needs the 2 upstream O2s to make proper adjustments.
Does that make sense? Free flowing exhaust WITHOUT Catalytic Converters FOR THE WIN!!

Re: looking for an exhaust system
I have seen several exhaust clamps with a mig tack on them,we tacked the ones on my car. It keeps the clamp from moving durring install. A 4 inch grinder will take it off in abought 2 seconds. Just thought this might help. Now get them cats off and open that baby up!!!!!! Since when do girls listen to there dads.

maybe he just meant that the engine would run lean by allowing too much air to flow... idk, just speculation.
Re: looking for an exhaust system
maybe dad has no idea what he's talking about. i know my parents don't have the first clue. they like to think they do, but who do they come to when something is wrong my brother and i. since i'm not there anymore it's pretty much just him.

Re: looking for an exhaust system
Ok so im in the mood to work on my exhaust,
I think its too quiet right now, so im definetly going for O/R but H or X
I want to bring the deep tone up just a tad, but will the X bring the sound up to much or would i just be fine getting an O/R H
im lookin at the O/R prochamber right now.

Re: looking for an exhaust system
hmmm Dont know too much about the prochambers..I have heard good things.
I dont think you can go wrong with either an H or X. I would look on youtube.com for videos and sound clips. Search your exhaust combo and have a listen.
then make an educated decision.

Re: looking for an exhaust system
I would get a h pipe or prochamber, it will probably help keep the raspy noise down some.
