Are ya sure??? The clamps should do it. Plus if you decide you don't want them.... you just unbolt them.

Yea, I wouldn't weld them on, just creates a pita if you ever have to take exhaust off, fuel tank, etc. Just bolt them up and be done.

hrmm well, what's this all about (from AmericanMuscle.com):

In 2007, Ford changed the style of exhaust hanger used to install the
stock exhaust on the new S197 Mustangs. They switched from a "rubber
and steel" hanger design to an "all rubber" hanger, which will not work
correctly with the after-market cat-back exhaust systems on the market.

The Pypes 2005+ Mustang 304 Stainless Steel Exhaust Hangers
will allow you to install any 2005+ after-market cat-back correctly on
a 2007 or newer Ford Mustang. We recommend that you add this to your
order from the drop-down menu when you purchase your cat-back or
axle-back exhaust.

I don't know what that is all about, I just installed a used set of loudmouths from Hector on my 08 and had no problems whatsoever. Used all the stock hangers.

Grabber07' wrote:We need a video clip now!! How long did the install take?

i know guys around here say it only takes an hour but it probably took me 3.5 hours. some of the bolts for the hangars were damn near impossible to get to so i had to figure that all out. also, one of the tips' hanger needed to be adjusted (bent) so it would have the right clearance in the bumper cutout. all in all it wasn't bad though... one of the more enjoyable times i've had working on a car, probably because of the result.

The right tools make the job alot easier, really all the 13mm bolts can be had with a 1/4 air ratchet. The one above the muffler needs to be the last one taken off since you can pull it down to get access to it.
