Mod VS Rods (Sat. 27)
It has been brought to my attention to let everyone know who is racing that if you will be running a time of 13.99 or faster, you will need to have a helmet.
Of course, they recommend it for all racers.
Hope everyone is ready to go!

Re: Mod VS Rods (Sat. 27)
There were some great deals with some of the modularfords.com vendors a while back...not sure now.
Hey Paul and Jeff where did you purchase yours? I got mine used from a member last year or else I would help you out.

Also you might call Kurtis at Archangel motorsports...hes a sponsor of ours and might get you a very good deal. I would call him tomorrow morning and get a price and delivery time quote.

Re: Mod VS Rods (Sat. 27)
Thanks for the help guys... From what I can remeber (it's been years) your tulsa track can get kind of slick sometimes. I'm thinking it would be almost pointless to race without something.

Re: Mod VS Rods (Sat. 27)
If they've prepped well...you should get decent traction...but will still spin if your not careful on the gas and clutch.
Drag Radials are prefferred and suggested. If you have 4.10 gears forget it...you will have trouble keeping the tires in check.
Are they doing a bracket style event? if so all you have to do is be consistant on your tire spin hehe

Re: Mod VS Rods (Sat. 27)
awww 4.10s are really going to be fun on the 1-2 shift hehe...my brother can attest to that. Lets just say the rearend likes to kick out violently without drag radials
You might try Tirerack.com and see if they can rush the shipment.

sounds like you do a few passes to get about what time you should be around then they will give you a heads up race with someone in your time.

Sounds like a Sand bagging tournament....hold back to race someone not at your power level...then blast them like their standing still.
Its going to be a crappy day if so

Re: Mod VS Rods (Sat. 27)
I think they do the Buick Vs. Ford thing bracket style. You make three or four trial runs then dial in. Just like the shelby show. Wooo Hoooo...... If so then it will be a great day. Most of the pushrods will be driven by young inexperienced guys. So it should be a good day.

I think your right. I might not run mine. I can't find tires so it's kind of pointless...

Re: Mod VS Rods (Sat. 27)
Dont think so....pretty pooped out. There was some guy asking about you. I was airing up my tires at the gas station off of pine and 169. I think he came over from the Motorcyle place next door. He asked me if you showed up to the Race track today....kind of random. WHo was that Amanda?

Re: Mod VS Rods (Sat. 27)
Ahhh I C...if I would have known he was your Boyfriend I wouldnt have been so brief...As I didnt know who he was I didnt really talk to him. Just said no you didnt show up...and I drove off. Tell him MY BAD!!! :)
Midnights are ok...you dont get timeslips so that sucks. Basically you have to have someone in the stands write down your times.
You need to go to TEST AND TUNE (TNT). Usually on Fridays around 7pm. You get timeslips and its a blast. Midnights are full of young 16 year old (thugs) that like to fight hehe....ok maybe its not that bad but it was back in the day!! Tell your Boyfriend to trade that RX7 for a mustang GT!!! ...wishfull thinking
