Re: Anyone able to help me install LT Headers?
i don't agree with most on here. LT's are absolutely a fantastic mod. the macs are, imo, the best choice for the price you get them at. 700 is about how much macs cost w/ a midpipe. if you do go with them get the coated ones. they will stay looking good for a very long while and as said will help a little with temps. i'm assuming you will at one point or another open your hood to show off your car and one thing you don't want is to save the few bucks and skip the ceramic coating. if you do they'll be rusty and ugly as the stock manifolds. were money less of an object i would either go with kooks or arh. both are stainless steel.
as for the delete plates just take your stockers and remove the butterflies and plug the holes. i did this and ported them to match my heads/intake. i used quick steel for the holes. when i removed them to install the sc'er they were just as good as when i did them 10,000 miles before. best thing is doing it yourself will cost you all of 10 bucks.

You be the judge...here are some longtube cars with flowmasters.

EDIT: Yep no cats on there.
LT's are not emissions legal. you can pass inspection usually if you have cats and since your mom is saying something about keeping it quiet i would go with the cats anyway. usually you'll have to problem passing your annual inspection with lt's and cats as long as there isn't a visual. if you do both and it's still a bit louder than your mom likes then just go back to some stock or quiet mufflers.

I made a set out PCV... They don't last as long or look as nice or work as well or sound as nice and smell like shit especially of long cruises and are really not even remotely practical. But I was able fab a set up at my local Lowes for $23.99. I'll sell you the plans for $599.
(Moral of the story... stick with the shorties!)

Here's how I look at it, I told her they wont be much louder, so if they are then well it's not like she can exactly just tell me to take them off. Mainly I think the neighbors complain about my friends cuz it's damn loud and he's learning stick so he is always revving it up real loud and slowly lettin out on the clutch. So he's not allowed in my neighborhood anymore haha. But yeah I am dead set on em.

Do you live off of 84th/sheridan??? We can all drive by and annoy the neighbors if you want! I saw your car down the street from my SIL's once, so I thought that was where you lived
