used gears?

i found some used 3.73 gears online. theyr asking 10 bucks right now ebay for the win. so um would there be any reason to not use these? cheap and easy plus theyr rear end gears im emailing the seller to find out of theyr frpp. also found some 4:10s for under a buck lol any ways is there any reason to not use used gears if theyr not damaged?
EDIT: ps any one still have that long antena on theres? im about to buy a shorter antena and wanted to see if any one wanted the 9 incher i have on it now. amanda?

well from what the guru's on here have said just make sure they r not motive bcuz they whine.and of course make sure who installs them knows how to set the pinion depth.

okies i can doethat, iwas going to do a dye penetrant inspection on them. make sure theyr not cracked. i'll try to buy them tonight

ive never had a problem with motive gears in the 3 8.8s that my brothers and i have had them in, and im putting some now in the cobra theyre a good brand!

Ask who make the gears and let us know. FRPP is the way to go if you have a choice.
Motive isn't bad, some do say they will whine if not properly installed.
Benji did my gears in my 06 and a few others on the boards. $200 + any oil or any other things you may need.
