Ethanol

Is there anywhere in town that sells gas without ethanol in it? On my trip to Florida I noticed that I got an extra 5 mpg hiway by using real gas. Mileage went up from 18 to 23. Not only that, but the octane level was 93 instead of 91. What's the deal? I heard in Missouri 10% ethanol was a requirement. We don't have any ignorant regs like that in Oklahoma do we? Or do we...

There one place in BA. Small Mom and pop shop across the street from Reasor's on 71st between Lynn Lane and County line. 100% gas...

Filled the Cobra up a couple times there. No problems.

NW corner of 71st and Mingo 87 and 91 have NO ethenol...it even says it on the pump.

Ahhh.. Yes. I can verify.

Also, if your in midtown, Reeders 66 at 21 and Lewis is Ethanol free on 87 and 91. Supposedly all shell stations are ethanol free, but have not been able to confirm this. I do know their premium fuel runs a bit higher in price than everyone elses. Again, have not been able to verify

The Shell stations I have been to say on the pump "May contain up to 10% ethanol".

71st and Mingo might be the closest for me...

I ran across a station in okmulgee the other day selling 93 ethanol free. There are a few around town but you have to search for them. I agree on the better gas mileage. I dont understand the cost effectiveness of the ethanol blend when you get less mileage using it. Seems like a draw on the consumption to me.

71st and mingo is a nice station...I trust the gas. I dont think I can trust those hole in the wall shell stations...not after my experience a few months ago.

Long Stroy....bad gas...end result new fuel pump, new filter, tank cleaned, system flushed, new injectors etc on both of our cars. Dont use hole in the wall gas stations!!

It was valero. I think it all depends on if they are corporate owned or individually owned like that one was. I think that holds true with Shell as well.

On ethanol in my truck i get 8% less mileage and its only saving me 6% in money. Seems like a big pork barrel somewhere the american consumer is getting bent over with.

paradise bay car wash on 71st mingo is thoe only place i feel up at and its 100% gas

We saw two the other night in BA. Both were on Elm (161st east ave). one on the corner of 81st and one a block north of 81st. Both were advertising as non ethenol.

the shell on 76th st N. has ethanol the shell on 86th st N just east of 169 has no ethanol so i think shell has a choice its up to the owner

In OKC, they advertise it a lot more, but seemed that every shell station I passed had a sign up Ethanol free. I don't see it as much here.

Most all stations in sapulpa are real gas accept QT

there seem to be a lot of stations in the older parts of town that say real gas probably because older cars really dont like the ethanol

Great list man. 71st and Mingo or Jenks works best for me. I find it hard to believe that we have to search fo gasoline without dumb %^&*!#$ Al Gore pollution in it!! Causes food prices to go up and wastes your money on poor mpg figure... I'm ready to lynch a tree hugger eco terroist!

I have noticed that more and more gas stations have gone back to 100% now that the gas prices have dropped.

they can just Hug This.
