Difference in the two is that the F90BT comes with the Ipod cable and higher voltage preouts.

Re: Radio
I like the deck. The only down side I have found with it is Apple or Pioneer will not allow the address book to be downloaded via bluetooth. Meaning, most phones, you can download your contacts to the unit, then search through the deck and not the phone to find the number you want to call. OR if you want to use voice dialing, you would only be able to do it that way. Other than that minor hick-up between the phone and the deck, I love it. I would be happy to help as well with the install. It took about four hours start to finish for us.

Would have only taken two hours if we could have found a sitter for Jarrod.

Thats a good question. I'm am not very savvy as it comes to the bluetooth part of things. I don't know if its a lock by Apple or a communication failure from Pioneer. From what I have read on the AVIC forums, it is something with the bluetooth in apples phone. I would have to do some research before i could fully answer that.

Re: Radio
Ok, done some research on some other sites. Looks like it doesnt matter if you use an unlocked or locked iPhone. It appears to be the software that Apple used to run the bluetooth.
Modmyi.com is neat site for unlocked iPhones.

Re: Radio
This is also research that I have done on the AVIC d series. I have not checked their other models.
avic411.com is a very useful site if you want to do some research. if you have questions, chances are they have already ben asked by someone else.

Re: Radio
I am also a Kenwood fan and own the DNX8120. I have the Ipod, Bluetooth, Sirius and backup camera and they all work great. My Blackberry syncs up even when my phone is in my gym bag in the trunk. One difference is the screen size so you will want to see the difference first hand. The Gui's both look great but Nav screen on a smaller screen might be a turn off or a non issue for you. I had installed so everything is working regardless of whether the car is moving or not. My son watches transormers from the back seat so the screen size was importnant.
If the Pioneer is anything like the commercials show where the voice commands really work that well then that is a big plus. The DNX8120 will allow you to pull up a number with your voice but nothing like the Pioneer commmercials show. The volts on the pre outs is a big deal if you are going to run amps but I assume that Pioneer and Kenwood are equal at 5v.

Re: Radio
Funny thing.
I have a factory Shaker 1000 watt system in my car complete with CD changer, MP3 hookup, 6 months free satellite radio. It's never had a CD in it, I plugged the iPod in just to see if it worked. I never activated the satellite radio. I have turned the radio a time or two. I guess the sound of the motor and that whistle under the hood is music enough to my ears. I think I'm addicted!
And all this coming from an amateur musician (OK, so I'm just a guitar hack, so what?)!
