Had a lengthy conversation with Cobradoc last week regarding my lower pulley and the failures that have been reported, he knows the guys at iw so he said he would call and discuss the problems that have been popping up. They say that the failures that they are aware of have been on cars with the bigger blowers that have been hammered pretty hard with lots of track use. The large whipples are hell on the stock cranks when a lower pulley is installed.I have also heard that hitting the rev limiter with the lower pulley and aftermarket blowers is hard on the crank snout and oil pumps. As as far as I have heard the crank failures with a lower and the stock blower are very rare. What does this all mean to me personally, I am going to leave my lower on, I dont drive my car that often and have never hit the limiter myself, actually have my shift light set pretty low to make sure
i am not spinning the motor past six grand and dont really compete or hammer on my car. Only time will tell the outcome.

I have had the 10% pulley on the car for a couple of years, the 07 balancer is a brick way heavy with history of coming apart, had a choice of going with the 08 or an iw so I went the route for more power. Lot of guys in an uproar over crank snout breakage .I know of at least two guys who broke their cranks were running their cars pretty hard.
