Brake Caliper Covers
I'm interested in these:
http://www.carid.com/2011-ford-mustang-caliper-covers/mgp-91231.html
But, I can't decide which color would look best with my car/wheels.
Seems like everyone has red. Not sure how that would look. Stock ones are black, I guess you don't really notice those too much. Red would stand out.
But there is also a "silver" color...might stand out against my darker rims, but just a bit.
So I'm thinking red or silver.

Re: Brake Caliper Covers
Sorta leaning towards red. Would add a dash of color to my mostly dark car. It might be subtle enough to not clash. What do you think?

Re: Brake Caliper Covers
Whats wrong with them? Don't they help with brake dust? My brakes are black, you can't see them. I just thought the dash of color looked nice. But they are not high on my priority list.

Re: Brake Caliper Covers
They will not help with dust. They are for aesthetics only. Bad aesthetics at that... If you want them to "pop" more, paint Em. As the A1 commercial says, "don't cover it , discover it!"
Also, they will hinder performance. The brakes will take longer to cool down with these on. Might be negligible but still...

Re: Brake Caliper Covers
Ok, I will not get them. But, they say they actually help dissipate heat since they are metal and add more surface area. Are they incorrect?

Re: Brake Caliper Covers
Looks like they are trying to play the heat sink card.... I would really like to see proof. :)
If they actually did, why wouldn't the pros be using a similar setup?

If you want heat dissipation then dip in gold, otherwise spend the money on beer or something useful.
