O/R X pipe
Hey guys, I just installed my O/R X over the weekend. LOVE the new sound with the Pypes Violator axle-backs. I've driven it couple of days now and just recently the engine check light is now on. I expect a new tune is in order, the question I have is it will be a few weeks before I can tune and I want to know if I'm doing any damage driving it this way. Performance is great and mileage is up somewhat.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: O/R X pipe
Bob,
Not doing any damage. The Check engine lights are due to the rear O2 sensors sensing that the Catalytic Converters (which you removed) are not functioning properly.
When you get a tune the tuner will turn off the rear O2s, which intern will get rid of your check engine light.
Enjoy the new found sound!

Re: O/R X pipe
ran an offroad x setup for 2 years without a tune. as long as you dont mind staring at the engine light, youre good.
Re: O/R X pipe
Welcome! Great mod to do, and like other say, it doesn't affect performance, just annoying to look at!
