What mods = 11.5 1320 for GT500
I'm curious as to what the mod list should look like in order to achieve a mid 11 second quarter mile run?

David, you better get a roll cage (cough Paul loweredf1 cough) cause you know youll only want to go faster.
Re: What mods = 11.5 1320 for GT500
My goal is to be able to have an all around performer that can run repeatable mid 11's when it has strip duty.
My build plan consists of control arms (already did BMR lowers) upper adjustable arm with mount, relocation brackets, adjustable panard bar, lowering springs, C&L CAI, 2.59" stock looking pulley, idler, replacement 08 or newer damper, 373:1 gears, heat exchanger, aftermarket shifter. I think these mods will gain me what I'm looking for.

Yeah Yancy I hear ya. Lol. I really don't want to cage it though. This is why I'm saying 11.5. I think that's probably quick enough to give most anything on the street a good run for their money.

Make sure you upgrade your radiator along with your Heat Exchanger....would benefit more. Looks to me you would be well on your way

Re: What mods = 11.5 1320 for GT500
with just the heat exhanger and the thermostat it completely eliminated the heat soak problems. In 100 degree weather.
that was my plan heres my list of mods thus far.
C&L intake
VMP 2.59 pulley / idler
AFCO heat exchanger
Reische Performance 170 Degree thermostat
J&M upper adjustable, lower billet control arms and panhard rod
metco heavy duty upper mount/drive shaft safety loops F/R
DSS one piece aluminum drive shaft
sway bar relocation kit needed
race star wheels 15x10
325/50/15 mickey thompson ET street radial

Nice Mod list Jason!! Is there a real difference in the Afco heat exchanger and the Raven Racing?

I was curious about which heat exchanger to look at as well. I guess if there is no noticeable difference then it will come down to price.

I got tired of reading this ones better crap so me and my friend decided i get on he got the other.
the afco saved a few bucks. you can get it with the dual fans to if you want.(I am running no fans and dont notice any heat soak after 3-4 WOT pulls in 90 to 100 degree weather.

Upper/lower, 3.73, 2.6 pulley, tune, cai and set of drag radials! 7.4 at 100mph in the 1/8 which is easily 11.5 in the 1/4. Heck I only went 1.81 in 60ft so it could of been better.

Yeah I figured those mods would do the trick. We need to go have a track day before they close up till spring. Take advantage of this fall air. I think mines got a bit more in her still. I'm not satisfied with a 12.7 stock. I want at least a 12.5.
