What brand of headers!!

Alright, I have been looking at about a million different name brand headers. Some like 2 billion dollars and some that are like 300 to 500. I know BBK is cheap and MAC isn't bad and that JBA are really nice and most of you guys have them. Does it really matter on which header you get? I mean they all do the same thing. Am I just buying the name or an actually a better header?

Oh yeah, whats the difference between short and long tube headers (besides the obvious)? Which one would be better with cats?

Stay away from Shorty headers...not worth the money for the gain. Long tube headers very with opinion. OBX has proven to be affordable and add performance. Now depending on wether you will be going with a supercharger down the road will determine the size of the headers.... I.e. 1 5/8 or 1 3/4.

OBX are good but I have Stainless Works and they are great. Fitment and finish are excellent. Long tubes will definitely change the sound as well as the performance.

The stock headers on the S197's are actually leaps and bounds above all prior Mustang designs. Your money is better spent on other mods, especially for N/A. If you're determined to change the headers, I can't help, as I'd only suggest long-tubes as a replacement, and they're about 2X over-priced right now.

And I KNOW long-tubes would help me, but it's still just not worth the gains for what they want to charge for LT's (550+ right now.)
