how meaty of tire has anyone been able to fit on the S197 stock wheels? I just know I want something wider than a 235/55

275-40-17 I run my BFG drag radials on my old stock bullits. I think that is as wide as you can go.

235 for everyday use, is what I would recommend. I have the same DR (245) but those only go in a straight line.

yeah i'm talking about everyday driving... but i want something a bit wider than the 235 and if D says he can get a 275 on there i'm wondering if i can't get a 255/? to sit on there with no problems

I'm sorry.. I just noticed what i wrote... I have 275 DR, but use them just for racing. I probably wouldn't go higher than 255's for a daily.

255 should do just fine I would think. I too run a 275 wide BFG Drag Radial on mine stock 17'' bullits. I run 285 wide on my FR500 wheels for daily use hehe but its a 10'' wide wheel

You have any pics of the rear with the 285s?

I run the same (285's) on the street... but keep in mind our street rims are 10 inches wide.

and yes i wouldn't dream of going over a 255 on these stock rims
