I dont have words to sum up my thoughts on that day. I know that I will always remember exactly where I was the moment the Second Plane hit the towers. Watching that on TV live is probably one experience in my life that I will never forget.

God bless the innocent and God Bless the ones fighting to protect them.

it doesn't seem like it's been seven years. I remember the day vividly.

It was a very surreal day for sure, especially at work that morning....I worked on both the A/A planes that hit the north tower and the Pentagon.

Yep. Seems more like two years or whatever. Not seven.

I remember working at Williams during that time. Most people don't realized that the BOK tower here in Tulsa was designed by the same guy as the twin towers. It's almost an exact 1/3 replica on the towers. I remember looking up at it wondering what it must of of been like.

I also remember that night and the few nights after when they had all flights grounded. I remember looking up into the evening and night sky and not seeing any lights from planes flying high above. None at all. For someone 1500 or so miles removed from NYC, that alone was erie.

Well Said Jerry, I was in the work Van and pumping gas at 51st and Memorial when the first plane hit while everyone was thinking it was some sort of accident. Then I was getting on the turnpike to OKC when teh second plane hit listening on the radio. Then still on the turnpike when the pentagon got hit. Then after all this I am driving a white minivan and was barely let into the basement of the BOK building in OKC with it. It was a very scary day and as you said Jerry, I will never forget where I was at the time.

Living off of 71 and Memorial for 20+ years, you are right on the glide path of Tulsa International Airport. You almost become immune to the planes flying overhead. I remember sitting out on the deck by the pool, looking up into the night sky waiting for the usual Southwest or AA flight to come flying over, and none ever did. For about 4 days, and the days that followed it really was unique and unreal feeling of what took place and what was going to happen next.
