Alyssa wrote:this is really scary stuff. i can't believe how complacent my generation is about this stuff. out of everyone i know, my age, i was the only one who voted. the majority of them didn't even bother to register to vote!!!
all i have to say is:
IF YOU DIDN'T VOTE, YOU CAN'T BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am sick and tired of young people saying gimmie gimmie gimmie!! get off your lazy ASS and work! we have military vets that can't work and needs help, but the gov't gives it to some aids-infested, knocked-up tweaker. i'm SO glad my hard-earned money is going to such a good cause!
it's only going downhill from here...
GOD HELP US!
i don't know about the rest of you, but i'm truly scared about the state of this country once he is sworn in.
i'm not going down without a fight.
ok, sorry for such a long rant... i'm off the soap box now...
the eagerness to want but not work for it borders the elements of communism. this is why i hate my generation for the most part. i dont understand how a generation that "fights" for so many things can be so passive aggressive. love live GWB!

No see you have it wrong. We are able bodied upstanding citizens. We must work. We have to support those with a lesser understanding of ethics and those with no real urge to work.
Instead of supporting my wife and kids I am now supporting some crack head and her brude because she is too lazy to work.

what exactly is the american way?? This is what has been lost and eroded over the past years. There is no dream anymore and there is no vision. We are living in the now generation. Everything must happen NOW, I want it NOW. This country has become to materialistic. Maybe a good long recession is what this country needs to start appreciating what it has.

Your right.. We are too materialistic. I think eveyrone should give up their materialistic posessions. I think you should start by giving me the Cobra and moving to the country to live in a hut made of donkey dung.. But the cobra must go first.. Bring it over around say... 6pm or so.. Cool?

Have you also noticed that the national attention span runs about 3 weeks?
When's the last time you had a conversation with anybody about what we need to do about the energy situation?

They are....Most have made their living on ACTING...never being themselves. If they ever took a deep dark look at who they really are...they might have to be comitted

We can get together with a 12 pack when you get back and you can voice your opinion then.

Re: Prez Election
you know until i happened to get tired of seeing that there was still a threat i hadn't read i really never even came into this pres. election thread. and now look what happens. you all are trying to get me into all the politics and crap. hahahahahaha. i've always had my opinions on a few certain things, but never really was very political. you ask me what i think about this or that i may or may not have an opinion at all. i've been over here for a year and just as soon talk about y'alls cars ya know. or really just sit there and not say a word. i do that more than anything anyways. i'm not much of a talker most of the time.

Re: Prez Election
this is a story about a man named jed,
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
Then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground came a bubblin crude.
Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.
Well the first thing you know ol Jed's a millionaire,
Kinfolk said "Jed move away from there"
Said "Californy is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly.
Hills, that is. Swimmin pools, movie stars.
Well now its time to say good by to Jed and all his kin.
And they would like to thank you folks fer kindly droppin in.
You're all invited back a gain to this locality
To have a heapin helpin of their hospitality
Hillybilly that is. Set a spell, Take your shoes off.
