stupid idea or no

so my 07 mustang is alloy grey (charcoal) and the top of the ram air is a color called crimson black (black w/ red metallic flake).

we will be doing all the body work for my 86 LX and have almost decided to do it just the opposite. have the car be the crimson black and the top of the hood be alloy grey.

to see a car entirely in the crimson black it is a 2010 nissan maxima color.

here is the alloy on my car.



in the dark garage it almost looks like a purple, but in the sun it's definitely red.








so what does everyone think?

I say if you like it, then who cares what others think? I say do it.

thinking it may be cool and look good is one thing. having other opinions is another. often people don't have any idea if something looks absolutely rediculous because people simply don't tell them.

example. a lady in my club in CO has a green 99-04 V6. it's a vert and she put a vinyl gold running pony almost the entire length of her car. she also has very tacky green vinyl seats. at shows she puts stuffed M&M dolls everywhere. damn car is a disgrace to mustangs everywhere. the thing i really don't get is that she always seems to win trophies. pics of said car....
