I must say I commend Bob Hurleys Service department for going above and beyond..Excellent Service, but we will get to that in a minute.

Been dealing with another local dealership trying to get my Drivers Side Wheel warranteed. Stopped by a certain local dealership twice trying to get my wheel warranted due to the clear coat coming off. The first time I stopped in they took pictures with a POS (Ford Approved) camera in the darkness of the service bays.....said they emailed those pics to Ford who denied them? Wow all in 30 minutes no less. Said it was possibly glue residue on the wheel from the factory. I looked at the Service guy like he was crazy. He told me to come back when it gets worse? Thanks a lot.

So I did what he said...I stopped by again to the same dealership after the wheel got worse (obviously worse). The Service guy told me I would have to come back AGAIN (That would be 3 visits for one wheel) and leave the car with them. Told him I was not comfortable leaving my car at the dealership for just a wheel due to the fact my normal service tech was out of town that I trust. He replied that I had to if I wanted to get it warranteed, but hes not guaranteeing anything be approved due to Fords strict warranty policy. I asked the simple question: "Why do you need my car to be left here for a wheel?" His reply was: "In case we need to take more pictures......" I replied "How about we take numerous pictures, more than enough from every angle possible...can I take the car with me and you call me?" His reply was: No...you have to leave it here. With this much trouble getting a wheel warranteed, there was no way I was going to tell him about the blown baffle in my muffler.

Thats when I walked away and thanked him for his time. (Very ticked off to say the least, but remained respectful)


Now for my Visit to Bob Hurley.... (Took 10 minutes)

Pulled up...one of the service techs that knows me stops by to see the car. I tell him about the blown baffle in the muffler, he has me start her up...and says YUP sounds like it...I'll write up a ticket and get that taken care of. The wheel will have to be approved by this guy...points me to another manager (Andy I think) and takes me to him. Guy takes one look at the wheel and says WOW, that shouldnt be happening....I'm going to go ahead and approve the parts, lets get this young man a new wheel and muffler right away.

No pictures...no talking with Ford....no come back 3 times...no leaving the car with them.... WOW is all I can say. I recommend Bob Hurley Ford to anyone. Great people over there and thats a fact.

Thank you BOB HURLEY!! I appreciate you taking care of me quickly and respectfully with no hassles or hesitation.

I must admit that I, too, have cheated with that certain other dealership - but it was just to handle a recall on passenger side airbag that they handled via a software update in the service lane while I waited. That's actually where I bought my car from (before BMMC existed), and it was the only time I ever had it in for service. Glad BHF took care of you!

FYI, if it's the certain dealership I think it is, when I go there I deal with ONE TECH and ONE TECH ONLY, because he's treated us right (my GT and the wife's Edge) and he's good friends with one of my co-workers. If he's not there, I don't go.

Man that really sucks one guy has to ruin it for the rest of you. I wonder how much business might be lost at BK Ford? If its truly this hard to warranty ONE wheel that is CLEARLY having clear coat issues, then what happens if someone has a bigger issue?

Also the whole, we need to keep your car to warranty the wheel was BS. Wish you would have been there Leonard..... but to no avail AT DISNEY LAND! Thanks buddy! lol!

Actually the guy came from north store when it closed, don't know why we hired him cause he was a worthless pos! He actually now works at Jcf, so basically we have to jump through hoops to get trim items and wheels covered now. Before we just looked at wheel and ordered another one no questions asked. Just caught us at wrong time, we should be off digital imaging before long.
