possible successor to Shelby gt to be announced thuresday

word on the grape vine is shelby's announcing a new pre-title car thuresday called the Shelby GTS. even jalopnik is reporting on it. cant wait. expect the usual SGT-esk upgrades, suspension exhaust and engine tweaks along with superchargers as upgrade options and possible shelby watts-link.

Why would Ford let Shelby make a direct competitor to the Boss 302? Unless, the GTS is more money but then you are in GT500 price range.

Thursday. ford has no real say on this as its going to be similar to the shelby gt in build.so expect major suspension modifications with only mild motor tweaks. 10-20 hp bump prolly. new front and rear fascias and i doubt theyr going to use those wheels....cause theyr hideous....

Its going to just be an slightly upgraded GT with Shelby badging im sure.

It will most likely have the Ford Racing Handling pack, which can be purchased aftermarket for $1300 give or take

Cold air kit and tune, which will put it in the 435 hp range or so up from 412hp from the GT

BUT I gaurantee they are going to be asking a rediculous amount for it!!

Id take the BOSS or GT500 over it any day :)

its gonna be set below the boss in price but above the gt. should be pretty neat, cant wait to see it!

At least they are not gonna cut the hood up like the last ones! :)

Kinda like what people have said.... I think slapping on a few body parts, lowering it , etc and charging $20k more won't cut it anymore with the selection out there.

yeah they moved a few sgts. they are holding thier value a LOT more that the 500s are. id imagine with the low production numbers that will stay true for a while. idk, id have to see what the final product is but id be interested. hell im still wanting a white SGT

i expect it to be quite a fun track oriented car like the sgt is. wont be as extreme as the boss but i expect theyll manage to pull it off as an alternative to the boss. i expect a sgt style advertising campaign .....aka no advertising
