Machine Work?
Now that I have the engine to base my build, I am starting to look at Machine shops that can do my porting and boring for me. Who do you guys use for your builds? Looking to bore the cylinders .030", have the headplates decked, maybe have the whole block acid washed, and then port the cylinders and have them modified to accept bigger valves.
I have friends in the V6 world that are willing to do my full port job for around $350, but shipping two heads from here to Connecticut is going to be insane... Even if it cost a little more, I would be fine doing it locally depending on total cost and quality...
Opinions?

Re: Machine Work?
Not sure who is reliable anymore. I'd contact Greg (Kbcal) I'm sure he could recommend someone.

Re: Machine Work?
Coby has always taken his stuff to Lucitos on 55th and Mingo and they have done good work for a reasonable price. But my dad has ALWAYS taken his stuff to Carbone Engines, on Admiral between Yale and Harvard since I was a little kid and he would tell you they're the best, even though you pay a little more.
Hope this helps :)

Have heard good things about lucitos, and carter-davis was recommended by some old school peeps, but have heard of late models using them...
