Float trip

Float trip in tahlequah, specific details will be forthcoming.

i like to check that one out. Never been out that way before.

Float trip is scheduled for the 26th of July through the 27th of July. Sat and Sun. We are camping and floating from Eagle Bluff Resort in Tahlequah OK. www.eaglebluffresort.com We will be leaving on Sat. if you want to camp overnight. Those that want to caravan out there on Sat we can meet at my house or the Cherokee Casino in Catoosa and cruise out there together at 9:00 am on the 26th.

I have reserved two camp spots and two rafts as well as two canoes. We can add more rafts or canoes or change them up on the day of the float. We can also add more camping areas if needed. The spots I picked are in an area that once you get the two I reserved the others around generally arent taken so we can reserve those spots too if needed.

Don't forget food, fishing equipment and license if you fish, bathing suit, clothing for over night, somthing to sleep in or on (sleeping bag blankets), sun screen, bug repellent, flash light, shoes that you don't mind getting wet(you don't want to go barefoot in the river) and any other items you might need to be comfortable in the out doors. Sunglasses and hats. MONEY!

Let me know if you want to leave with me on the morning of the 26th and I'll give you directions to my place or the casino which ever is easier.

Brenda and I are camping and will use a canoe.We will let you know when we are going.I am bringing the pickup.Do you want me to throw in the gas grill for food on sat. night.and some wood for a camp fire.Doc what time are you goung on sat,and are you camping.

Bring all that you can so that I can have a good time. Duh! I will be bringing all that I can fit into my car.

Jarrod are you going out on Sat morn? I hope so cause I need your extra car space.

David I will have to get back to you on when Im going down. Cassie and I have to be out of this apartment by the 1st so we have some packing to do. We also need to get our new place set up and ready. I might be able to squeeze out Saturday and Sunday...but maybe just Sunday.

BMMC'ers

Those of you planning on doing the Float Trip this weekend here's some details...

General:
We're floating Sunday Morning at 10am. All joining us will need to be at Eagle Bluff Floats in Tahlequaha
little before 10am to sign up, load, etc. Eagle Bluff Website:
http://www.eaglebluffresort.com . Since this isn't a show or cruise
event, feel free to drive an SUV or other vehicle. They're easier to
load and you can carpool...

Cost:
We'll doing the 12 mile trip: Rafts $22.50 PP, Canoes $18.50 PP
If Camping.. there a $13 fee per night and per site. Please check
Eagle Bluffs Website for details.

Saturday People:
Some are going down on Saturday to camp Saturday the night. If you
want to convoy down on Saturday with this group please meet at Cherokee
Casino in Catoosa between 9:30-10 am. David Mckay will be leading this
group.

Sunday People:
Those of you not interested in Camping can just come down Sunday. If
you want to head down with the Sunday Group, Please meet at Paul's
place . We'll be leaving at 8:45am sharp,
so be there a few minutes early. Paul will be leading this group.

What to bring:
Food and Drink:
Please feel free to whatever you'd like to drink and munch on. For
some of us, Beer is food... and that's more than fine. But with temps
in the 100's, water and other non-alcoholic beverages are a good
idea.


Have to haves: Old pair of shoes...
You won't want bare feet in the river... sandals will work but I've
seen many get lost. I found a good pair of old shoes works the best.
Bungies! These are a life saver for when you tip the canoe/raft. And yes it will happen. Sunscreen and tons of it...
Toys... Fishing gear, water guns, etc. Bring em.

if you are or do bring any beverages, pop, beer, etc. make sure its cans, they are really stricked about bottles...

oh, and water shoes are another good option besides old shoes. you can find them at wallmart, academy, etc... believe me, you DONT want to walk in the river barefoot, there are too many idiots that throw crap in the water that you dont want to step on. oh and watch out for the holes!!! haha jk. (inside joke)

As of right now(subject to change)with the heat i think we will leave about4pm sat afternoon.should be there by 6 and have plenty of time to set up camp and cook supper.I'll have the grill for anyone who wants to cook.Dave, keep your cell phone close so we can find the camping spot.

Will do. If for some reason I lose reception down there. If you enter eagle bluff just drive through until you see my car. We will be down the large boat ramp and to the left. Or stop in at the office and ask for which site is David Mckay at/
