Re: The BOSS is Back... Offically.
Wow...that is a disappointment. The original Boss looked so much better on the outside. The new GT is looking better by the minute. I wonder if a new Mach will be coming out anytime soon? That would bring me full circle. First car was a 1972 Mach 1. A 2012 Mach would look great in my garage.

Mustangpapi...Is that your car shown in pic above your name? That car is so much better looking than the new Boss. That is what it should have looked like. Very nice looking.

Re: The BOSS is Back... Offically.
Come on guys! Stop looking at the pictures and read the book!
This is the baddest Mustang Ford has ever built for street use. The engine IS the Boss302R engine from the Grand Am racing series (just de-tuned.........can anyone say "FRPP race tune coming soon?"...). The suspension is completely purpose-built based off of the Grand Am cars with manually adjustable shocks. The Laguna Seca model comes with a rear seat delete, Recaros, cross-body bracing between the rear shock mounts, T2R 3.73 diff, a REAL front splitter, even stiffer springs & bigger sway bars than the base 302,and the list goes on and on!
Name any other assembly line built Ford vehicle (GT supercar doesn't count) that rates 1.03g's in the skid pad on the OE tires.
I was ready for disappointment before the announcement. I was ready to buy a "club racer" from Rehagen Racing instead. This is definitely NOT a disappointment! Ford not only hit it over the fence, but the bases were loaded; Grand Slam! I've already got a deal for one at sticker. Anyone want to buy a crewcab F250? The GT500 is now officially relegated to Daily Driver status!

I agree! Love the setup and all the tech upgrades! Just the color and decal schemes are blah.

For the Laguna Seca model, my choices appear to be Black or Silver with the red accents. Not my first choice says the Orange loving alumnus. And seeing as how I refuse to own a black car..... Silver it shall be!

Re: The BOSS is Back... Offically.
Congratulations Jeff, that is going to be one hell of a car.....I like everything about it. The paint colors are a take off of the Porsche GT 3 RS cars which is great to me. VIVA la difference !! What all mod wise do you think you will do ?
PS. Dennis is headed north to get the new boat and then heads to the Lake of the Ozarks shoot out. Week of fine tuning and break in and then going for 200 !!!
Keep us updated on the new car.

Re: The BOSS is Back... Offically.
Don't congratulate me just yet! This may very well be the most irresponsible decision I've made since my college days. I'll have to restructure my debt and sell my truck; not to mention putting off the wife's new Taurus SHO
But I can buy a new truck anytime down the road and the SHO's will be around for quite a while. These cars will be a 2 year run at the most, 1 year worst case.
I would leave this one completely stock (unless FRPP comes out with a "race tune").
I hadn't heard about the new boat. 200 mph? Your brother is crazier than me!

Thank you... but my car is just stickers and a stock set up. It use to be fun. Bills come first.
