Been busy, results of racing at TRP

Sorry, I've been pretty busy lately and haven't had much time to post. Any-hoo, here's the results of my trip to Tulsa Raceway Park.

Best 60' = 1.67
Best 1/8th ET = 7.65
Best 1/4 ET = 12.10 @ 109mph (missed 4th)

The air that day was really crappy as it was so hot and humid you didn't need to drink water, you could just breath it in and stay hydrated. I didn't get my 11.xx timeslip because I got all jittery and nervous. I didn't make one clean pass that day. I just posted the bests of each of the runs. If I could have put it all together, I probably would have ran 11.6-11.8 at 118mph or so. The car 60'd real well all day with plenty of 1.67's-8s but I kept missing gears because I was trying too hard. The first and 2nd runs were ugly because I missed 2nd and 3rd running 13.30's....NICE! Then I settled down a little and ran a 12.40 and then a 12.10....still missed 4th though

I'll be waiting for some better air and then hitting the 1/4 mile track again to get my 11.xx timeslip.

Great 60' times. I agree on the cooler air, my car runs 1/2 second faster in mineshaft air. I think you'll have no problem running into the 11's in good air. Looks like your hooking up pretty well in that picture!

I think if I wouldn't have missed 4th gear I would have had an 11.9x because it was about the 1000 ft mark that I missed 4th, then I just pushed the clutch in and then lazily slipped it in 4th and ran it out. Oh well, there will be other days with better air to accomplish my goal.
