That's 419/454 considering a 15% drivetrain loss. That still seems a little high.
Wonder how much more you can add with bolt ons??

Check out this article: http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/25/video-inside-line-dynos-the-2011-ford-mustang-gt-5-0/
"It's like this: after seven pulls, Inside Line's tester reliably belted out 395 horsepower at 6,600 RPM and 365 pound-feet of torque at 4,350 rpm. That's at the wheel, natch, and since IL estimates the 'Stang sees only an 11% to 13% driveline loss thanks to its stick axle, the car is likely making somewhere between 438 and 446 horsepower at the crank – far more than the advertised 412."

Thats a stout start, hopefully that motor can take more than 550rwhp, cause people are gonna be pushing them.

Nah, they're not government motors, that why they can get away with this kind of stuff.

Re: **2011 Mustang GT 5.0 DYNO RESULTS IN!**
Those are pretty impressive numbers. I wonder how much a CAI and tune would do? I'm guessing another 15 at the tire? 410 gears should make things fun. Maybe even 430's with the six speed? Hmmmmmm.......decisions. Decisions.

Re: **2011 Mustang GT 5.0 DYNO RESULTS IN!**
That is my only bitch. With VVT and Factory cold air. Ford has taken the fun out of modifying the car. I'm wondering what the tuners will be able to do with the car. Obviously, VVT would be difficult to tune with if not maybe a nightmare.
The motor is stout thats for sure, but just doesn't leave a lot of room for enhancements.
Am I wrong??

Eh, I'm still leaning toward the GT500 being the better value.

how come they got 435 hp on this test and someone else got 395 hp on their test. They were both on a roller type dyno. Was 1 # off the engine and the other off the rear wheels?
