I finally have my motor rebuilt. I bought COMPCAMS blower grind. I need to find out if "locking" them out versus the phase limmiters is a good idea.

Don't know about that. I know when i had the Mutha Thumper cams I had to use Phase limiters because of the wild idle. Need to do some research on that. What did COMPCAMS suggest?

unless you are making pretty high hp numbers i wouldn't do it. it will limit what you are going to make. if you have the higher hp numbers you won't miss the difference it makes and will be safer since nothing can move. i personally have the comp limiters with heads and comp 127500 cams. i'll likely use the limiters even after i have the sc'er down the road.

I called COMPCAMS and they wanted to sell me the phase limmiters. I told them my speed shop mechanic wanted me to lock the cams out. I have a built motor with fox lake racing ported and polished heads and compcams upgraded springs to handle the compcams blower grind 127550 cams. I already spent 500 smokes on the lock-outs...
