probkauz wrote:So what is the BMMC schedule for Hallett or TRP? I need to know when to take off for the Shelby Meet events.
We will do points per event you go to or participate in, as long as you have swag on. I have not got this confirmed yet, but i think Thuirsday night cruise in, Friday will be the club day at Hallett, Saturday at TRP and Sunday car show.
20 points per event and a 20 point all event bonus.

I'm glad you put "go to", cause I don't have the wheels and tires to run yet, still have wheel spacers. But I'll be there for all four days, somehow.

We understand that not everyone races. Its about supporting the ones who do and cheering them on.

Re: 2010 Shelby Mid America Meet
I need to register. I am going to pass on racing this year as the Shelby is back to a daily driver since the Bummer konked again. Too bad, the beast is now race ready, but I just can't have 2 disabled vehicles in the stable.

Oh I want to race, badly, but fundage does not allow me to buy wheels and tires right now. But I do want to ride along with some peeps.

Gotta do the parade to Peoria Mikey! Suday car show is a must too. Hallet and drags are fun too even if you just watch, but it was ridiculously hot last year at the Drags...

Come on Mikey, at least do the car show, maybe you can get another scratch on your car like last year before the show. :)

Re: 2010 Shelby Mid America Meet
Here's the skinny on Mid America....
The club will be at all the main events. For general details on events please see: http://www.midamericafordmeet.com/Left_nav/Schedule.htm
Weds.- registration/packet pick-up
Thurs.- The club will not be Hallett during the day but will be at the Cruise-In in the evening. This year BHF is the sponsor! We will meet at the Marriott and cruise together. This is really fun! Hundreds of Mustangs and Ford performance all cruising together! Meeting place and time for the club is TBD.
Fri.- We will be at Hallett. We will meet up and cruise out together. YOU DON"T HAVE TO RACE! Spectating is fun too. Come out and cheer those that will be running! BTW... I 'm sure Crazy V6 George or Jeff will give you a ride.
Sat.- The will be at Tulsa Raceway Park. We will be set up with the BHF tent YOU DON"T HAVE TO RACE! Spectating is fun too. Come out and cheer those that will be running!
Sun.- Car Show. We will (Of course) be set up with the BHF display. This year is a little different. They have and new semi trailer. Should be nice! The space to park together will be tight, so details on that will be forthcoming.

Re: 2010 Shelby Mid America Meet
Let's see;
New C&R radiator installed...................Check
New C&R heat exchanger installed.........Check
New T-stat installed...........................Check
Off-road X-pipe installed.....................Check
Engine tune modified for above items.....Check
Motul600 brake fluid flush....................Check
Oil & filter changed.............................Check
New slicks being mounted & balanced....Check
Race suit, helmet, gloves, shoes...........Check
Sponsor for gas & tires........................Check
Car cleaned & detailed........................Check
Confirmed on grid for late-model race....Check
Items left to do;
Clean air filter
re-install re-certified harnesses
re-install seats
pack stuff
load trailer
then..........
It's almost time for FUN
P.s. I'll give some ride-alongs as permitted by officials. Last year, for one session they said "No passengers in Group 1". Next session they said "Oh, passengers are okay". I may have to go out in Group 2 at least once after the race. Don't want to heat soak too bad before then.
I have one commitment to the head of the OU Foundation on Friday. After that BMMC'ers

Re: 2010 Shelby Mid America Meet
I too scared to drive my ride but I'm willing to be a passenger and maybe video a bit. Just let me know the times so I can adjust my work schedule. The boss knows and he's cool about it. He's a car show nut and enthusiasts also.

Re: 2010 Shelby Mid America Meet
If you're registered for anything, you might as well show up for the cruise on Thursday; it's free! Just bring your event credentials (ie: name tag)............

Yes, the cruise this year will be to downtown and the brady district. Should be fun to hear all of those V-8's echoing between the walls of the buildings.

I like how you think, that is exactly what I had in mind. Jerry was, I'm sure thinking Global Positioning System, but he's the slave, I don't allow him to think.
