Air wont blow out the main vents..Only the floor? Empty Air wont blow out the main vents..Only the floor?

Anyone know how to fix this. It was working fine on the way to work on the main vents but got to hot so i turned it to the floor. But when i tried to turn it back it sounds like its changing and blowing but inside the dash and not out the vents. Anybody?

Sounds like the air registers aren't closing or opening correctly. Not sure if they are vacuum controlled or electric. Could be the switch is bad.

Thats the question i had. Vacuum or electric and where. Though i heard someone on here having the same issue and they reached under the dash and it was a cable that had just fell off. I havnt had a chance to look at it yet but before i get out in the cold and try to do this i want to have all the info that i can get.

Might try unhooking the battery cable for a minute and see if it resets this worked on most Dodges.

I thought it was a bunch of cables that opened doors mechanically on all mustangs. But it is worth a try.

The old ones were cable operated. I haven't had the opportunity to get under the dash on the S197 to see how the doors are operated. Im sure a quick peek behind the glove box with a flash light would clue you in.

Well I got in the car after work and now it's working fine. Crazy. Oh and I won't make it tomorrow I have two birthdays I have to take the kids to but I just sent money through paypal to help with the toys
