Re: battery cable
I did in mine until I had to get a new battery. But mine was doing it on the neg side. I think gasses were seeping out of the post and causing the corosion.

Re: battery cable
David is right and I think you can ask Jarrod about it too. Seems the OEM batteries are not sealed up as tight as they should be. Jarrod had the same problem. Got new alternator and battery and problem solved.

Re: battery cable
Get a can of spray-on battery sealant from any parts store and spritz that terminal - keeps it all nice and shiney.

Re: battery cable
Used the spray on battery sealant with the stock battery to help stop the terminal corrosion. Didnt help...that stuff was insanely stubborn.
New battery...new alternator...walla...stopped corroding

Trust me, I highly doubt you gonna get anyone to replace the alternator under warranty for battery corrosion. We usually just clean them of with a BG battery clean kit and usually don't have many problems after that.

Re: battery cable
When i put a volt meter on the charging circuit it never cuts back. That tells me the internal regulator is not working properly, always charging the batt, causing the corrosion.I would think that would be enough to get the alt.replaced.I'll run it buy the ford people and see.

Re: battery cable
What's it reading? Voltage wise?
Tony... a quick test for your voltage reg is to connect the multimeter to the pos and neg posts of the battery while the car is running at idle. It should read about 13 volts. Then raise the idle to about 3-4k. if the voltage reads more then 15-16 volts. The regulator is crap.
I suspec
