I went off on a tangent... Sorry, I will explain my point at a later date. Everyone will believe what they want to believe and it doesn't matter where the news is from... Because people will believe it anyways! Anyone remember hearing stories about what people did the first time "war of the worlds" was aired on the radio? Alot of people killed themselves. I don't believe it till I see it and if there is something on that long list that makes you say, oh that can't be good if it happens... Then you need to relize the majority of those things already happen without you or I being conscience of it.

I understand the concept of "being Liberal"..... but also understand that there is a difference between

"Classic Liberalism" (all parties fall under this catogory and beleive in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness)

and

"Modern Liberalism" (social liberals and social democrats fall into this group which also make up roughly 50% of the democratic party and are centric on economic issues but go way left on social issues)

Good point Kirby. Modern liberalism is socialism at it's core. The more the government manages, the more control they have. Government should enable to the people to prosper and not directly provide.

Think of it like this... if the government gives handouts for everything what incentives does that give the people to better themselves and thus the country?

An excellent case study is the what Tommy Thompson (former Governor of Wisconsin) did with Welfare reform. Basically he said no more government handouts, he wanted something in return. He provided incentives for people to get off welfare. Thus breaking the cycle.
