its quality not quantity when it comes to aircraft maintenance! Scary Thought 506757

the first engine i worked on just finished certification yesterday. i did everything on it, even reworked the cylinders. i brought the cylinder taper on those babies to less then .0010 from top to bottom with an out of round of less then .0005. manufacturer tolerances are .04 and .02 respectfully. eat that!

nope, these were a mess though. i saved three of the cylinders. the last one had a lip in it so deep there was no way to save it
