97 mustang a/c questions ????
Ok, I'm working on this 1997 3.8 mustang that a truck driver dropped off at my shop. A/C not blowing cool. clutch not getting quite enough power to activate it bit if you run direct power to it, she works fine and blows cold. The sensor/ switches are good. I was told by another mechanic that there is a computer/relay inside of the passenger fender that contoles the a/c. Do anyone have knowlege on this or might even have one hanging around? I never worked on a sn95 mustang before.

Yep. Sounds like a bad relay. Especially is you can get to work by getting direct power to it.
Do a search for a relay diagram to find the right one.

like you said, with direct power it blows cold so that disproves a low side port problem. relay would be the only thing i can think of.
Re: 97 mustang a/c questions ????
crap man.... I dug into the fender and poped out that little box and then drilled the rivits out. sure enought ... ther are 4 relays soldered into the board. this little box dose controle the a/c unit. The owner is going to pick 1 up at the junk yard. weird bugger.
