Thinking about purchasing the property to the East of Bass Pro up on the hill above Los Cabos and Charleston's... and opening an upscale lounge/music hall....

Just need someone to invest about $1,000,000 and I could break ground within a week....

I'll put your money in a CD and release it and all interest gained in 5 years plus give you 15% of all profits gained over the same 5 year period...... actually thats not a bad proposal except I would be borrowing against the million and if the business failed you would be out whatever costs I incurred.... Haha... but thats why investors play the game....

Kirby - I'm in for $500, which will give me a .05% ownership in the business. Let me know when you raise the remaining $999,500.00.

well actually if we base it on $1,000,000... that would give you 0.0005% ownership... for .05 or half a percent I need $50,000

but by putting the 1Mill in a cd for 5 years at an avg 4% compounded you would make about $225,000 in interest.... assuming you have 1Mill just lying in an account making 1 to 2% and could go without it for the next 5 years (yes I know.. no one in thier right mind would have 1Mill just sitting in a savings account)

and David... you would make about $9,000 off of your $50,000 in 5 years... plus your .05% of profits that I would pay out quarterly...

LETS DO IT! The First 20 members to put up $50K is in.....

Kirby, Kirby, Kirby...you're mixing decimal and percent numbers. "half a percent" = .5% of $1,000,000; or $5,000.00. My $500 investment does indeed equate to .05% - or 5 one-hundredths of one percent; or one tenth of one half of one percent. I'll still invest the $500 with you, but you can bet I'll be looking at the books over your shoulder.

so technically off the interest...... he would make roughly $112.00 in 5 years... and I would need 1,999 more people to throw down $500 bones?... and for every $100 in profit they would each get 3/4 of a penny?

I really want to to open a pool hall.... with an upscale club in a 2 to 3 story building with a huge outdoor bar and balcony overlooking tulsa from the top of PSO hill (behind charlestons and bass pro).... I've had this idea for about 10 years... and figured the rate BA is growing... why not

Assuming 4% interest compounded annually for five years, at the end of the 5th year my initial $500 investment would be worth $608.33 [(FV=P(1+r)y]. Depends upon how savvy a businessman you are as to how much profit I'll rake in; but using your example, for every $100 in profit I would make 5 cents ($100 x .05%). Now...if you leave Broken Arrow at 10:00 A.M. in your Mustang headed towards Dallas and average 65 MPH, and I leave Tulsa in my Mustang at 11:00 A.M. headed towards Ft. Smith and average 60 MPH, what time will we arrive in Kansas City?? thumbsup

My best guess is I would arrive in Kansas City at 10:49 PM assuming I averaged 65 MPH and you would arrive at 5:38 PM if you averaged 60 MPH

BUT!.... its a trick question because I do not own a mustang......... lol!
