New Idler pulleys on the way! Empty New Idler pulleys on the way!

Post by JrSVT 4/11/2008, 1:29 pm

I recently ordered some Metco Idler pulleys for the cobra. These things are P-I-M-P! I ordered 2 100mm and 1 90mm pullies. These should dress up the engine compartment a little bit and be functional as well. The bearings are better than the stock idler pullies and they're a little bigger to help with belt wrap, thus helping to prevent belt slip. Belt slip = loss of boost. I can't wait to throw these things and a new belt on! I've been neglecting the Cobra for awhile now. I guess it's time we spend a little quality time together and get to know each other a little more friends

Not a problem. I'll be soaping the Cobra down and rubbing all over it and I won't forget the engine bay. It needs some TLC too. It's been sitting since late November and I recently took it up to Tulsa to my friends house for him to work on it. Now that it's back, a good cleaning and pics are in order. I'll snap a few and post them up after the idlers are on.
