cdc delete plates in...problems????
well me and sandy got cracking and its almost 4 but everything is together, started the car for the first time on the hipo 91 tune and it ran extremely rough. shut i down doable checked everything, check engine light came on. ran it a second time and it ran really well for a few minutes we then encountered an extreme surging idle inccident peaked at 2300 rpm before i could react and shut it down. checked everything again and started it up ran perfectly, but gave off an odor of extreme rich operation. let it run for a few minutes then the odor went away and it started to level to idle speed at 500-600 rpm. ran great for several minutes, after shut down the tailpipes smoked quite a bit. not sure if this is normal post installation. should i be concerned? i figure its acclimating to the new settings? i'll take it out for a test drive tommarow.

Re: cdc delete plates in...problems????
Mine started up with no problem..... Did you get a NEW tune for the Delete plates? Sounds like someone sent you the wrong tune. It might take the computer a bit to get used to the new settings but the surging and rough idle is a concern. Try taking the car back to stock on the tune...then re-install the new Delete Plate tune.....also is the new tune calibrated for your long tubes as well? CMCV delete plates and long tubes combined could be the problem. Tuning is a little difficult at times. Call or email your tuner with your issues and see if they have any ideas. They might need to send you an updated tune

well i got it running. i think it was just teathing with the new settings, theres been a very noticable increase in power. its running great now. the first 3 starts though it was rough. it idles very smoothly now.
EDIT: oddly enough theres a slight audible difference now. didnt expect that. any ways its running now i just roared up to the gas station and back. absolutly loving it and theres no check engine light. the tune appears to be spot on, i'll give the mileage tune a try when i head to okc. i'll keep an eye on it for now
