can get helmets at 21st and yale at the honda of tulsa, green country honda is out on the broken arrow motor mile between 145th and 161th and the BA as well as what used to be Dick lanes of tulsa yamaha,,

also K&N in sapulpa and that one over on admiral and memorial

of course there is always harley davidson

Everone other then walmart are to proud of there helmets. They will charge you any where from 100.00 to 200.00 for them.

I will talk to walmart about getting a DRIVE THRU for you guys so you dont have to go in.

On a serious note (yeah someone had to do it.....), if you are planning on buying a helmet to use at Hallett (or actually in a car in general) the helmet should be rated SA2005; NOT rateed M. You won't pass tech inspection!

Helmets for cars are designed differently than motorcycle helmets because your head gets abused in different ways in an accident.

And don't skimp on the cost, after all I've never heard of a successful brain transplant yet.

i saw those simpson voyager helmets down at the oreilly fall nationals, couldnt find a snell rating on them they were like $220 down there, damn good price for a SA2005

Im going to try and make it to the track gota get the slicks on and get fuel

It's usually behind the cheek pad. You have to fold the liner and padding down. When the price gets that low, I get suspicious. Some vendors will try to sell you an SA2000 helmet. Sure it's legal.................this year...............

im planning on being there round 1130 or so for yearly tech inspection, just put the hood pins on, so im covered in case stupid latch decides to pop on launch again

will they actually check dates on helmets i have 2 good racing helmets but i know the dates are old cuz i hvent raced in several years

I have never seen them look at the helmets.

I can honestly say... I will Flippin be there on Sat (If they are open).... I need to see how my sexy lil biotch is running (No Jarrod, I wasn't talking about you!)(No Brian, wasn't talking about the edge either!).... I wonder if my shit can hang with the big boys!

I'll be there noonish or so. Weather appears to suck, but the car runs noticably better in the cold. Of course traction is worse....

they have never checked my helmet or my 5 pt harness, just asked me "do you have a helmet" however when i started running 11s they did stop me before my burnout to make sure i had a cage

weather is going to suck for sure, hopefully out of the blue we will get a warm front come in and heat things up to 70degs

I've been check several times. They check 50% of the time in Tech But,there's normally a guy at the end by the ambulance that is watching. If you run quicker than 14.0, they will look to see if you're wearing a helmet.
