scoopless/fireblanket water damage?
so my dealership removed my hood scoop on my sgt because it was warping badly. they have a new one but im waiting for confirmation on weather or not my dealership will replace a stripe that was damaged pre-delivery. the new hood scoop that theyr going to put in is installed using blind-rivets(not sure what specific type, any one know?)
for those of you with hood scoops you know your car with out a scoop just seems weird. there are 10 holes in my hood and they go straight to the fire blanket. i've kept it inside and out of the rain so far but will it cause damage if it gets wet?

I would imagine that wet wouldn't be good.

I don't think you have to worry about it getting wet. Almost everyone I know washes their engines from time to time. And I always hit it with the sprayer to get it clean again. I have never noticed a problem or heard of one doing this. Im pretty sure it gets wet when it rains too.
